  • Dr. Rich Weaver

    Dr. Rich Weaver

    Dr. Rich Weaver graduated from University of Georgia, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1986.  Dr. Weaver has a special interest in avian medicine and worked with Dr. T.J. LaFaber, the grandfather of Avian Medicine, since he was 14 years old.

    Dr. Weaver and his wife Susan enjoy spending time with their children, Emily and Eliot.  They encourage their children's activities of horseback riding and paintball.  The Weaver family spends time with their dogs Dudley and Norman, and when not working, Dr. Weaver enjoys Autocross through the S.C.C.A. with his family and has started to collect wine.

  • Dr. Jeffrey Bitter

    Dr. Jeffrey Bitter

    Dr. Bitter is a 1989 graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in Madison and has been practicing at Bluemound Animal Hospital ever since.  He enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and soft tissue surgery.

    Dr. Bitter lives on a small farm with a menagerie of critters including horses, chickens, cats, sheep, cattle, and "Skippy" the goat.  The latest addition is a dog named Horus, a lab/hound rescue from Kentucky. Dr. Bitter is a master gardener and can be found tending large flower and vegetable gardens in the summer.  He is an avid horseback rider/driver as well as runner and cross country skier.

  • Dr. Rachael Favero

    Dr. Rachael Favero

    Dr. Favero graduated from the University of Wisconsin school of Veterinary Medicine in Madison in 2000, and has worked with us at Bluemound Animal Hospital since 2001.

    Dr. Favero has a home with her husband Chris, her Shetland Sheepdog Carly, and cats Chloe, Dewy, and Frankie. After work she enjoys horseback riding, gardening, skiing, and making stained glass.
  • Dr. Mackenzie Vermey

    Dr. Mackenzie Vermey

    Dr. Vermey worked here at Bluemound Animal Hospital since high school, and while here went on to the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in Madison, and after graduating in 2012 has come back to work as a veterinarian.

    Dr. Vermey lives with her husband Jason, Coonhounds Jethro and Ellie, and a cat named Larry. She also has a Thoroughbred Horse Gelding named Blake.

    After work she enjoys hiking and camping with her husband and dogs, fishing, and hunter/jumper horseback riding. 
  • Dr. John Wertz

    Dr. John Wertz

    Dr. Wertz graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in Madison in 2001, and has worked here at Bluemound Animal Hospital since he graduated.

    Dr. Wertz lives with his wife Katie and children Kaylee and James.  They have a Russian Tortoise named Ivanna and a Chinchilla. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family outdoors, birdwatching, and watching football.

    The thing I love the most about this job is: Being a part of the support team that cares for critical patients.  I also love the bond between myself and our clients and their pets.

    I have: A Treeing Walker Coonhound named Gunnar, a Black and Tan Coonhound named Cleo, an orange cat named Pickles.

    Outside of work I: Love spending time with my husband, children, and pets.  I also enjoy hunting, camping, and outdoor activities whenever possible.

    The thing I love most about this job is: meeting a variety of animals and being in an environment that shares the bond between pets and their people.

    I have: a quarter horse gelding named Wind and 2 tortishell cats named Kiki and Jasmine. In the near future I hope to rescue a pitbull and own an exotic.

    Outside of work I enjoy: being outdoors, creative projects, and spending time with my horse, and family and friends.
